The first time I met Apocalypse was back when the Professor had been shot by Stryfe and Scott and Jean kidnapped by Sinister. We had just battled the Mutant Liberation Front, and were figuring out what to do next; and then he just showed up at our doorstep.

Bobby, Peter, Warren, and I were the first ones to confront him. Of course, I had seen his file, and knew what he had done to Warren: converting the high flying Angel into the Archangel of Death, his fourth horseman. I have known Warren for years, and never had I been so shocked and scared of him as that night when he simply transformed into a blood-thirsty man.

Apocalypse called Warren "his son", and he seemed pleased to see how his greatest creation had become a predator in the blink of an eye. But he didn't show up at the mansion to fight; En Sabah Nur wanted a truce... a truce to defeat the man who had hurt us and nearly killed him as well: Stryfe.

I remember feeling sorry for Warren. He had been turned into a shadow of his old self against his will by Apocalypse. He had lost all sense of self, he didnt know who he was anymore; I could sympathize, because many times I had been subject of the same type of body and mind violation.

Little did I know that Apocalypse would come back to haunt me, first as an elemental to power up his ascension, and later to turn me into one of his horsemen.

I feel his dark touch, I feel his power increasing mine... I like it.

Today was our first mission as the new Starjammers. After weeks of planning, we finally got to kick some feathered Shi'ar behind. It feels great to let go an use these new powers at large. I was able to project a huge electromagnetic field around the warbirds that guard the supply line to the fourth Shi'ar fleet.
I don't know what Apocalypse did to me, but he was able to replace my lost powers with something very similar to them, only wilder; thankfully I have learned to manipulate them through intense training sessions with Rachel. Even more important, my mind has completely broken free of his control or anyone else's; this has been the perk of being here in space, I feel myself again.

After seizing the warbirds and forcing their men to join the resistance, we headed to feather's edge in order to cut it off and weaken Vulcan's resources and supplies; but unfortunately he and the Imperial Guard were waiting for us... our cover was blown.

Just when we were going to be blown to pieces by Vulcan's ship, The Hammer, a fleet appeared of nowhere and destroyed it. These attackers call themselves the Scy'ar Tal, "Death to the Shi'ar". I know they just saved our necks, but they still look like bad news!

Their mission has failed. After events that will be one day revealed, the Starjammers failed in their mission to stop Vulcan. The team has been disbanded: Rachel Gray, Korvus, and Lilandra have disappeared; Raza, Ch'od, Havok, and Polaris have been captured by the Shi'ar Imperial Guard.

In order to break his brother's spirit, Vulcan is torturing Havok's fellow Starjammers. For an unspecified amount of time, Raza, Ch'od, and Polaris have been submitted to the most heinous and painful punishments at an undisclosed location of the planet Kr'kn, at the edge of Shi'ar space.

Power dampeners have been used on Polaris, but she keeps shorting them out; and the drugs that have been administered to her are being burnt out by her system. The Shi'ar scientists have never seen mutant powers like hers. Even Vulcan is puzzled by the power levels Lorna is displaying.

The mad emperor will continue torturing the Mistress of Magnetism in order to make his brother bow to him, while trying to find what is making her so powerful.
What is happening to Polaris?
